Government-approved driving school in Tillsonburg
Parker Right Driving Academy is an Ontario government-approved driving school that can help you become a safe and responsible driver, with skills behind the wheel to drive to survive the rest of your life! We offer Beginner Driver Education (BDE) programs that include digital(online) OR in-person instruction, with 10 hours of in-vehicle training included. A student that attends and successfully completes our driver training course is registered as complete with the Ministry of Transportation and our course IS recognized by insurance companies for possible insurance reductions. Completing the beginner driver education course, does allow applicants to possibly take the G1 exit road test (G2), as early as 4 months sooner than if they didn’t complete driver’s education. What makes Parker Right Driving Academy particularly inviting to students is that we have licensed, experienced and professionally trained instructors that are familiar with Tillsonburg and the surrounding community. Being local means a lot to people. We understand how important that is, and we want your driving instruction experience to be a positive, enriching experience.
Here’s a little more of what you can expect when attending one of our programs.
Digital or in-person instruction
In a government-approved driver education course, you will:
- receive 30 hours of theory portion whether digital which is online OR in-classroom which is in-person
- be in a classroom with Maximum 40 students for in-person classes or online at your home, on your own computer, at your pace
In-vehicle instruction
You will:
- need to complete digital or in-person classroom instruction before starting the in-vehicle instruction
- receive 10 hours (included) of in-vehicle training delivered by a licensed instructor, extra hours (after the 10 hours) are always available to purchase
- complete your in-vehicle training within 1 year from the start of your classroom instruction (mandatory MTO regulations)
- drive a vehicle provided by Parker Right with one-on-one student to instructor ratio
It is important to note that you cannot complete more than 2 hours of in-vehicle training in any given day, as per MTO regulations. This is to make sure you are never overwhelmed and so that the knowledge learned is retained through repetitive training exercises, and practice with your own co-driver is to be completed, in between your lessons with Parker Right.
